Ingredients
- 4 strips bacon, diced
- 4 c. leaf lettuce
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1/4 c. green onion, sliced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Method
- Fry bacon until crisp.
- Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of fat. Tear lettuce into bowl.
- Add tomato and onion.
- Sprinkle greens with seasonings.
- Combine 1 tablespoon of bacon fat and vinegar. Bring to boil.
- Pour over salad, tossing lightly to mix.
- Crumble bacon over top of salad.
- Serve immediately.
- Serves 6.
