Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 2 Tbsp. (rounded) flour
- juice of 1 lemon
- grated rind of 1/2 lemon
Method
- Cream sugar and butter.
- Add beaten egg yolks, flour, lemon and milk.
- Beat egg whites very stiff; add last, folding in.
- Put in casserole.
- Set in a pan of hot water.
- Bake for 45 minutes in a slow (350°) oven.
- Forms custard below and solid on top.
