Ingredients
- 1 (14 oz.) can Carnation evaporated milk
- 1 small pkg. lemon jello
- 1 3/4 c. hot water
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
- pinch of salt
- 1 small can crushed pineapple, well drained
Method
- Put milk in refrigerator until icy cold.
- Dissolve jello in hot water until partially set.
- Whip it.
- Add lemon juice, rind, sugar and pineapple.
- Whip chilled milk until stiff.
- Fold in jello mixture.
- Line pan with 1/2 crumbs.
- Pour mixture on this. Sprinkle crumbs on top.
