Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 12 tablespoons lemon zest, grated
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 12 cup milk
- 1 12 cups flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 13 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
Method
- Cream together butter, sugar, lemon rind.
- Add eggs and lemon juice.
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add flour mix alternately with milk to batter.
- Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Let cool 5 minutes.
- Prepare topping and pour over bread.
