Ingredients
- 1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
- 1 1/4 sticks butter or margarine
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. nuts
Method
- Cook butter and sugar on low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool.
- When cool, add eggs, vanilla and salt.
- Mix thoroughly. Add flour and baking powder; then add the nuts.
- Place in a well buttered 16 x 8-inch pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 300°.
- Leave in pan to cool, then cut.
