Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 1 c. celery, diced
- 4 eggs, hard-boiled and sliced
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
- 1/2 c. green pepper
- 1 sweet onion (medium size), diced
- 8 slices bacon, fried and diced
- 2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
Method
- Tear lettuce into small, bite size pieces and place in a 9 x 12-inch glass dish.
- Layer rest of ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread on top as you would frosting. Top with grated cheese.
- Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours. Will keep several days in refrigerator.
- Serves 18 to 20.
