Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 4 eggs, hard-boiled and sliced
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1 sweet onion (medium size), diced
  • 8 slices bacon, fried and diced
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated

Method

  • Tear lettuce into small, bite size pieces and place in a 9 x 12-inch glass dish.
  • Layer rest of ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread on top as you would frosting. Top with grated cheese.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours. Will keep several days in refrigerator.
  • Serves 18 to 20.
