- 1 lb. hamburger
- 2 small cans tomato paste
- 1 jar Ragu
- 1 small onion
- 1 container cottage cheese
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 box lasagne noodles
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Method
- Brown hamburger, drain.
- Add salt, pepper, garlic and onion and let cook.
- Stir in Ragu and tomato paste and add 1 or 2 cans water.
- Sprinkle oregano over sauce and stir in.
- Simmer 30 to 45 minutes.
- Mix together cottage cheese, 2 beaten eggs, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
- Cook lasagne noodles.
- Using a 9 x 13-inch pan, start layers with enough sauce to cover bottom of pan.
- Noodles next, then cottage cheese mixture (spread very thin).
- Then Mozzarella cheese.
- Then sauce.
- Repeat at least twice.
- End with Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake, covered, in 350° oven for 30 minutes and uncovered for 30 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before serving.
