Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 2 small cans tomato paste
  • 1 jar Ragu
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 container cottage cheese
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 box lasagne noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Brown hamburger, drain.
  • Add salt, pepper, garlic and onion and let cook.
  • Stir in Ragu and tomato paste and add 1 or 2 cans water.
  • Sprinkle oregano over sauce and stir in.
  • Simmer 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Mix together cottage cheese, 2 beaten eggs, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  • Cook lasagne noodles.
  • Using a 9 x 13-inch pan, start layers with enough sauce to cover bottom of pan.
  • Noodles next, then cottage cheese mixture (spread very thin).
  • Then Mozzarella cheese.
  • Then sauce.
  • Repeat at least twice.
  • End with Mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake, covered, in 350° oven for 30 minutes and uncovered for 30 minutes. Let set 10 minutes before serving.
