Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • salt to taste
  • 1 large or 2 small cans tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 box lasagne noodles
  • 1 1/2 c. cottage cheese, drained
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Brown meat; remove excess fat. Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles; drain. Layer noodles, sauce, noodles, cottage cheese, noodles, Mozzarella, noodles, sauce and top with Mozzarella. Sprinkle with parsley flakes. Repeat layers if needed. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
