Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 7 to 8 lasagna noodles
  • 24 oz. cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Brown beef with the garlic; add parsley, basil, salt, stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  • Simmer.
  • Cook 7 to 8 lasagna noodles and rinse with cold water.
  • Mix the cottage cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, parsley flakes, Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese. Layer in a 9 x 13-inch pan:
  • 1/2 noodles, 1/2 cheese mixture and 1/2 meat mixture.
  • Repeat.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
