Ingredients

  • 1 lb. wide lasagna
  • 1 lb. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1 c. grated Italian cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 large can chopped or pureed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste

Method

  • Cook lasagna al dente; drain.
  • Mix Ricotta, Mozzarella and Italian cheeses, 3 eggs and salt and pepper; set aside.
  • Brown and crumble ground beef in oil with garlic and onion.
  • Mix tomatoes and tomato paste (add spices and herbs as desired).
  • Add browned meat mixture; cook at low temperature.
