Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed peppers
  • 2 pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large cottage cheese
  • 1 pkg. Parmesan cheese
  • 9 noodles, cooked until tender

Method

  • Combine first 4 ingredients; cook until brown.
  • Combine and add next 6 ingredients; simmer for 1 hour.
  • Layer noodles, cottage cheese, Mozzarella, sauce and sprinkle Parmesan on top (3 layers) in buttered pan.
  • Cook in oven for 30 minutes at 350°.
