Ingredients

  • 7 eggs
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. each: salt, dry mustard, pepper and garlic or onion powder
  • 2 c. seasoned croutons (1 box equals 4 c.)
  • 5 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • cooked bacon slices

Method

  • Beat eggs, milk and seasonings until foamy.
  • Put croutons on bottom of buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish (shallow), then cheese, then pour egg mixture over all.
  • Cook 1 hour at 325°.
  • Lay bacon on top when done.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
