Ingredients
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. fresh lime juice
- 1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Method
- In medium bowl, beat egg yolks. Add condensed milk and beat until well blended.
- Slowly add lime juice, mixing well (custard will thicken as you add lime juice).
- Pour immediately into a baked pie shell and top with meringue.
- Bake at 325° until meringue is browned, 8 to 10 minutes.
