Ingredients

  • 14 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar (can sub turbinado or maple syrup)
  • 14 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 12 cup all-purpose flour
  • 12 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 12 cup raisins (optional)
  • 14 cup applesauce

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the oil, sugar, water, vanilla, banana & applesauce if using.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flours, salt & soda.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and blend well.
  • Add in raisins, nuts, &/or chocolate chips if using.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets, & bake for 12-15 minutes.
