Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (15 oz.) can cream of coconut
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut, thawed
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 c. chocolate milk
  • 1 (3 oz.) box chocolate fudge pudding and pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
  • Finely chopped toasted pecans, optional

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lightly grease bottom of 9x13x2 inch baking pan.
  • Make cake according to directions on box of cake mix.
  • Combine cream of coconut and thawed coconut.
  • Mix well.
  • As soon as cake comes from oven, make holes in cake using fork.
  • Pour coconut mixture over top.
  • Beat cream cheese until softened and smooth.
  • Combine chocolate milk and chocolate pudding mix. Whisk until smooth. Add to cream cheese and beat until well blended. Spoon this mixture over top of coconut.
  • Top with Cool Whip.
  • If desired, sprinkle toasted pecans over top.
  • Keep refrigerated.
