Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. hamburger meat
  • 2 medium onions or instant onion flakes
  • 1 red or green pepper (optional)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 can whole grain corn or 1 can green peas
  • 1 (10 to 12 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
  • 1/2 to 2/3 lb. grated American cheese

Method

  • Brown meat and onions until done (can add pepper).
  • Add soups and corn or peas.
  • Mix well.
  • Cook noodles in boiling water until tender.
  • Drain and blanch; add to meat mixture.
  • Grease large baking dish (12 x 18-inch).
  • Pour in mixture.
  • Cover with cheese. Bake in 350° oven until hot and bubbly.
