- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. hamburger meat
- 2 medium onions or instant onion flakes
- 1 red or green pepper (optional)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 1 can whole grain corn or 1 can green peas
- 1 (10 to 12 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 1/2 to 2/3 lb. grated American cheese
Method
- Brown meat and onions until done (can add pepper).
- Add soups and corn or peas.
- Mix well.
- Cook noodles in boiling water until tender.
- Drain and blanch; add to meat mixture.
- Grease large baking dish (12 x 18-inch).
- Pour in mixture.
- Cover with cheese. Bake in 350° oven until hot and bubbly.
