Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 3 to 4 drops food coloring
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. flavored oil
Method
- Line an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan with foil, extending foil up sides; butter foil.
- Butter sides of heavy 1-quart saucepan; add sugar, corn syrup and water, mixing well.
- Bring to boiling, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
- Cook over medium heat to 300° (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat; add flavored oil and food coloring.
- Pour into prepared pan at once.
