Ingredients

  • 1/2 whole Loaf French Bread (from 1 Loaf Cut In Half Lengthwise)
  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/2 cups Shredded Mozzarella
  • 1/2 cups Shredded Medium Cheddar
  • 1 whole Jalapeno, Stem Removed, Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Mayonnaise

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Put the bread on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  • Combine cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeno and mayonnaise in a bowl.
  • Spread mixture over the top of the bread.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until mixture is melted and bubbly.
  • Then turn on broiler and broil for 1-2 minutes or until cheese browns slightly.
  • Remove pan from oven and set it on a rack.
  • Allow bread to cool for a couple minutes.
  • Slice and serve.
  • Note: This recipe can easily be doubled to use the other half of the French bread.
