Ingredients
- 2 loaves frozen bread dough
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, skinned and crumbled
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Method
- Place frozen bread dough on well-greased baking sheets. Grease top of each loaf.
- Let stand, covered, for 2 hours or until thawed.
- Do not let rise.
- Brown ground beef and sausage with onion and green pepper in skillet, stirring frequently; drain. Cool.
- Press dough with greased hands over surface of baking sheets.
- Layer with ground beef mixture and cheese.
- Roll as for jelly roll.
- Place seam side down on baking sheets.
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Yield:
- 24 servings.
