Ingredients
- 1 c. unbleached flour
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1/4 c. milk, room temperature
- oil for skillet
Method
- Combine flours with salt.
- In a large bowl, mix milk with 3/4 cup of warm water.
- Add 1 tablespoon of the butter and gradually begin adding flour.
- Blend well to make a soft dough, adding more flour or water as necessary.
- The consistency should be a little less firm than loaf-bread dough.
- Cover bowl with a lint-free cloth and let the dough "rest" for about an hour.
- Then turn it out onto a floured surface and divide into 4 equal parts.
