Ingredients

  • 1 fryer chicken, cut up
  • 1 1/2 c. rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3 c. milk

Method

  • Use 13 x 9-inch baking dish with cover.
  • Pour rice in the dish, covering the bottom.
  • Add the soups, but save some of onion soup mix to cover chicken.
  • Add milk and stir until evenly distributed. It is okay to have soup lumps.
  • Put chicken pieces on the top. Sprinkle with remaining onion soup mix.
  • Cover and bake at 275° for 2 hours.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
