Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 egg, well beaten
  • 1 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c. chopped black walnuts
  • 2 c. chopped bananas

Method

  • In a large bowl, sift together the first 5 ingredients.
  • Add eggs and salad oil, stirring by hand until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Do not use electric mixer.
  • Stir in vanilla, pineapple and nuts.
  • Finally, add bananas.
  • Pour into 3 greased and floured round cake pans.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool.
