Ingredients
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
- 2 c. walnuts, chopped
- 2 c. bananas, chopped
Method
- Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add eggs and salad oil, stirring by hand until dry ingredients are moistened.
- (Do not beat with mixer.)
- Stir in vanilla and pineapple and 1 cup each of the walnuts and bananas.
- Spoon batter into three well-greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
- Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove from pans and cool completely.
- Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting sprinkling the remaining cup of walnuts and bananas over the top of the icing.
