Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 pad butter
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. lemon pudding mix, cooked according to directions
Method
- Melt butter in milk; heat to scalding point.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Mix all ingredients, except lemon pudding mix; pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes in a 350° oven until lightly browned.
- Cut the cake into 2 layers. Prepare 1 package of lemon pudding mix; spoon onto bottom layer. Place top layer on top of the pudding.
- Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
