Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 pad butter
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. lemon pudding mix, cooked according to directions

Method

  • Melt butter in milk; heat to scalding point.
  • Sift dry ingredients.
  • Mix all ingredients, except lemon pudding mix; pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes in a 350° oven until lightly browned.
  • Cut the cake into 2 layers. Prepare 1 package of lemon pudding mix; spoon onto bottom layer. Place top layer on top of the pudding.
  • Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
