Ingredients
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. light cream or evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Method
- In a 1-quart saucepan, mix the cocoa, sugar, corn syrup, cream or milk, salt and butter.
- Stir over low heat until mixture comes to a full boil.
- Cook 3 minutes, stirring once or twice.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Sauce may be refrigerated in a covered container.
- Reheat in microwave or hot water before serving.
- Makes 2 1/2 cups.
