Ingredients
- 8 c. flour
- 1/3 c. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 8 tsp. sugar (optional)
- 1 c. shortening
Method
- Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Using a pastry blender, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Store in a well-sealed container in the pantry or fridge. When making biscuits, use 1/3 cup milk for every cup of mix.
- For pancakes, add enough liquid for the batter consistency desired.
