Ingredients
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. bread flour
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 Tbsp. nonfat dry milk
- 1/4 oz. pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 Tbsp. wheat germ
Method
- Using butter, grease a 1/2-quart casserole dish or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Set aside.
- In large bowl, mix 1/2 cup bread flour, whole wheat flour, nonfat dry milk, yeast, salt, honey and vegetable oil, with mixer on low speed; mix until blended.
- While mixing, add hot water.
- Continue mixing until smooth, about 3 minutes.
- Add remaining cup of bread flour, gradually mixing at high speed until smooth.
