Ingredients
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/2 c. red wine vinegar
- 1/4 c. Chinese hoisin sauce
- 1/4 c. peanut or vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. aniseed
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 lb. pork spareribs
Method
- In a small bowl, combine honey, vinegar, hoisin sauce, oil, aniseed and cinnamon; mix well.
- Trim excess fat from ribs and place in a shallow 8 x 12-inch pan.
- Pour marinade over and turn ribs to coat.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight, turning once.
- Heat oven to 450°.
- Remove ribs from marinade (reserve marinade) and place on rack in broiling pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
