Ingredients

  • FOR THE HONEY SAGE SYRUP:
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cups Clover Or Orange Blossom Honey
  • 10 leaves Sage, For Syrup
  • FOR THE COCKTAIL:
  • 1 cup Gin
  • 1 cup Honey Sage Syrup
  • 2 cups Orange Juice
  • 4 leaves Sage, For Garnish

Method

  • For the syrup:
  • Combine water, honey, and sage leaves in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir, smashing the sage, until the honey is dissolved. Cool completely.
  • For the cocktail:
  • Combine gin, syrup, and orange juice, and divide among ice-filled glasses. Garnish each cocktail with a sage leaf.
  • Note that I use a clover honey that is light in flavor. If you're using a very sweet variety like wildflower honey, you may need to use less for the syrup.
