Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. graham flour or whole wheat
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening (room temperature)
- 1/4 c. each: honey and oil
- 3 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 tsp. each: salt and baking soda
Method
- Blend all ingredients together (3 minutes).
- Divide in half; place half on ungreased baking sheet (17 x 14-inch); flatten out and roll out, flouring glass so as not to stick to rolling pin or glass.
- Score into 2-inch squares.
- (Leave in place.)
- Prick all over with fork.
- Bake in middle of preheated oven at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes, or until browned.
- Remove and cut along scored lines while hot.
- Let cool on baking sheet.
- They crisp while they cool. Watch carefully when baking.
