Ingredients

  • 4 -5 sprigs fresh rosemary, of medium length,chopped into 1/2 inch strips
  • 3/4 cup ninety-proof vodka (or any clear low-odor ninety-proof drinking alcohol, available from any liquor store)

Method

  • Gently"bruise" the rosemary strips by"hammering" very gently on the same.
  • Use your fist to do this on a wood cutting board.
  • Take an amber or dark glass bottle and pour the alcohol in it.
  • Add the cut and bruised rosemary strips to it.
  • Cover the bottle with its cap.
  • Shake vigorously for a minute.
  • Place in a cool and dark place for 6-8 weeks{shake for a minute every week}.
  • Strain the"tincture" from the remaining plant pieces.
  • Store in a cool and dark place.
