Ingredients

  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp. peppermint or butter flavoring
  • food color (optional; any color)
  • 1 (1 lb.) box plus 1 c. powdered sugar

Method

  • Mix the cream cheese and flavoring together.
  • Mix in sugar (use fork at first, then hands).
  • Knead, adding more sugar if it is too sticky.
  • Roll into balls about the size of a marble.
  • Place on wax paper.
  • Flatten with back of fork.
  • Allow to harden before serving.
  • Makes 80 mints.
