Ingredients
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 c. salad oil
- 1 Tbsp. hot water
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- dash of cayenne
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Method
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add egg yolks and blend.
- Add vinegar; mix well with mixer on medium speed.
- Add salad oil, 1 teaspoon at a time, beating with rotary or electric beater, until 1/4 cup has been added.
- Add remaining oil in increasing amounts, alternating last 1/2 cup with lemon juice.
- Beat in hot water; this takes away oily appearance.
- Makes 2 cups.
