Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Method

  • Cream sugar and margarine.
  • Mix in egg and vanilla.
  • Stir dry ingredients together; blend into sugar-margarine mixture. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.
  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Using half of dough at a time, make cut-outs.
  • Roll dough to 3/16-inch thickness. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Bake 7 to 8 minutes until delicately golden.
  • Decorate with Easy Creamy Decorating Icing.
