Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 6 potatoes, peeled
  • 4 carrots, peeled
  • 1 onion
  • mushrooms
  • green pepper
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  • In center of large square of heavy-duty aluminum foil, place 1/2 pound patty of ground chuck, shaped into a patty.
  • Place thick slice of onion on meat.
  • Place large chunks of potato and carrots on top, then mushrooms, green pepper or other choice of fresh vegetables.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Wrap in foil and cook over hot coals 1 hour, flipping occasionally, until done. Makes 4 large portions.
