Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- nuts
Method
- Pour 1 cup boiling water over the raisins and soda.
- Let stand until cool.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
- Bake in a large soup or juice can or small soup cans (they should be half to 2/3 full, well greased and dusted with flour).
- Bake for 45 minutes at 350°.
