Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Combine dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture, one cup at a time.
- Prick all over with a fork.
- Place in a preheated 375° oven and immediately reduce heat to 300°.
- Bake for 1 hour until pale golden brown.
- Cut in fingers while hot.
- Cool in pan.
