Ingredients
- 4 chops (3/4-inch thick)
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 (8 3/4 oz.) can pineapple tidbits or chunks
- 3/4 c. ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Method
- Trim chops; heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
- Place chops in pan and brown on each side.
- Drain off fat.
- Add remaining ingredients to pan.
- Stir; cover pan tightly and let braise and simmer until chops are tender, approximately 45 minutes.
- Baste essence in pan over chops occasionally as they cook.
- Skim off fat and serve sauce over chops.
- Good with rice and dried noodles.
