Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 c. Macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 1/4 c. real butter

Method

  • Mix baking soda, vanilla and 1 teaspoon water.
  • Set aside. Combine water, sugar and corn syrup; heat to 275°.
  • Add nuts and cook until 302° using candy thermometer.
  • Remove from heat, add butter and baking soda mixture and stir.
  • Pour onto greased cookie sheet to cool.
  • When cool, break into pieces.
