Ingredients
- 1 gal. medium size cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 2 green peppers, thinly sliced
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 8 small onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 c. cooking salt
- 5 c. weak cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Method
- Combine cucumbers, onions, peppers and cooking salt and cover with water.
- Let stand 3 hours.
- Drain.
- Bring to a boil the sugar, vinegar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed. Add drained vegetables and just bring to a boil.
- Put into sterilized jars and seal.
