Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes
  • 1/2 stick margarine

Method

  • Melt margarine and saute onion.
  • Add potatoes, soup, cheese, sour cream and seasonings.
  • Pour into buttered casserole dish. Mix melted margarine and corn flakes.
  • Pat into a crust, covering potatoes during last 10 minutes of baking.
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 350°.
