Ingredients
- 3 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. flavoring
- powdered sugar
Method
- Mix first three ingredients in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Boil without stirring until drops of syrup form hard brittle threads in cold water.
- Remove from heat.
- After boiling has ceased, stir in flavoring and coloring.
- Pour into lightly buttered cookie sheet.
- Cool.
- Break into pieces.
- Put into bag and shake with the powdered sugar.
