Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hot or mild sausage
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • party rye bread
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • mustard
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 finely diced baked ham
  • 1/2 green pepper, finely diced

Method

  • Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles.
  • Press into the bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
  • Pinch edges to form a crust.
  • Press out perforation in dough.
  • Lightly spread dough with mustard.
  • Evenly sprinkle dough with ham, onion, green pepper and cheese.
  • Bake at 375° for 20 minutes or until brown and bubbly. Cut into squares and serve hot.
  • Can be made ahead; refrigerate until ready to bake.
