- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. can tomatoes
- 2 c. diced carrots
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1 (13 1/2 oz.) can beef broth or 2 bouillon cubes
- 1 to 2 tsp. salt (or less based on seasoned meat)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 qt. water
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 1/4 c. elbow macaroni
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Method
- Brown meat (seasoned), onion and garlic on low heat, then add other ingredients except macaroni,
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Add cooked macaroni (1/4 cup uncooked).
- Simmer an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
- Yields 4 to 6 servings.
