Ingredients

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 2 tbsp. veg. oil
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. liquid (juice from mushrooms and water)
  • 1 (4 ounce.) can mushrooms

Method

  • Combine meat with egg, crumbs and seasoning, and half the onion soup mix.
  • Shape into patties and fry in veg.
  • oil.
  • Remove browned hamburgers.
  • Add in flour to fry pan; stir while it browns lightly.
  • Blend in liquid, stirring vigorously till smooth.
  • Stir in remaining onion soup mix and mushrooms; cook 5 min.
  • Return meat to skillet; cook slowly five min.
  • Serve with rice or possibly buns.
  • Serves 4-6.
