Ingredients
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 2 c. liquid (juice from mushrooms and water)
- 1 (4 ounce.) can mushrooms
Method
- Combine meat with egg, crumbs and seasoning, and half the onion soup mix.
- Shape into patties and fry in veg.
- oil.
- Remove browned hamburgers.
- Add in flour to fry pan; stir while it browns lightly.
- Blend in liquid, stirring vigorously till smooth.
- Stir in remaining onion soup mix and mushrooms; cook 5 min.
- Return meat to skillet; cook slowly five min.
- Serve with rice or possibly buns.
- Serves 4-6.
