- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 or 2 hot peppers, chopped
- 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can water (measure in soup can)
- 1 or 2 lb. squash, washed, trimmed and sliced
- 2/3 c. instant rice
- 1/3 envelope Spanish flavoring for yellow rice (optional)
- 1/2 c. crushed cracker crumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Brown the hamburger, 1/2 cup chopped onion and the hot peppers.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and add the cheese, half of the soup and half the water.
- Mix well together and set aside.
