Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground meat
- 2 (16 oz.) cans chicken broth
- 1 qt. plus 1 pint water
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (I prefer stewed)
- 1 small pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 c. elbow macaroni
Method
- Fry hamburger in a large pot.
- Add chicken broth, water, onion soup mix, celery, tomatoes and frozen vegetables.
- Simmer 15 minutes.
- Add the macaroni and simmer 10 minutes.
- Salt and pepper may be added to taste.
- (I do not add salt or pepper; onion soup gives it enough flavor).
