Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 3 medium carrots, sliced
  • 2 medium potatoes, cubed or macaroni
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 3 to 4 c. water
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 pkg. frozen green beans

Method

  • Brown beef; drain off fat.
  • Add remaining ingredients except beans.
  • Bring to boil and reduce heat.
  • Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  • Add green beans and continue to simmer 30 minutes more. Makes 6 servings.
  • I also add corn.
