Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 (12 oz.) can corn
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce with tomato bits
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes

Method

  • Combine meat, onion, catsup, salt, chili powder and oregano in 10-inch skillet.
  • Brown and drain.
  • Grease 10-inch pie plate; line with meat.
  • Pour corn into center of meat shell.
  • Prepare muffin mix as directed, adding butter.
  • Spread evenly over meat and corn.
  • Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Invert on serving plate.
  • Combine remaining sauce ingredients; heat and serve with meat.
