Ingredients

  • 2 c. cooked rice (not instant)
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic
  • 1 tsp. onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. basil flakes
  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 2 to 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 large can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Add garlic, onion flakes, basil flakes and mushrooms to olive oil; mix well.
  • Add tomatoes and cook for 1/2 hour.
  • Brown crumbled hamburger.
  • Add eggs to cool rice.
  • Add hamburger and rice mixture to the tomato mixture.
  • Put in 2 or 3-quart casserole.
  • Add salt
  • to taste (optional).
  • Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
  • Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese before serving.
